This aluminum file can also be used on other soft materials such as lead, brass, bronze, and copper.

This is our longest file. The long length means less operator work. However, if clearance is a challenge, or you need to file less material, you may find our 10" or 12" file ideal.

Choosing a double cut versus single cut file

A single cut file cuts only in one direction. If you need to shave in multiple directions, you’ll need one of our double cut files. The advantage a single cut has over a double cut is that a single cut is deeper, allowing fewer strikes to shave the same amount.
